Kingsfoil

Kingsfoil are a York Country (U.S) indie rock band. Originally a 4 piece, with a line up consisting of front man Jordan Davis, Tristan Martin (guitar and keyboard), Tim Warren (bass)
with drummer, Frankie Muniz recently leaving.

I had a great opportunity last year to be on the same judging panel as these guys for 'S'kool Fest', I was then invited along to watch them perform at one of their London shows at The Garage in Islington. I went into their dressing room where I had a beer, and the band were sitting, warming up and they looked pretty relaxed considering this was their first headline tour they had embarked up on in the UK.
Their live performance was awesome, their tracks perfectly knitted together and as a band were really tight, like a true rock rock band they left the crowd chanting for an encore at the end of their set. Returning to the US, they have been playing a string of live dates, enhancing their ever growing fan base with their musical ingenuity and prowess.

Having shared dates with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris and Lupe Fiasco to name a few, they are certainly a band to watch out for and start listening too. Should they come back to the UK any time soon be sure to check them out live.

They have released two studio albums the latest called 'A Beating Heart Is A Bleeding Heart' which can be heard on Spotify below.

Royal Blood

Who knew a bass guitar and a drum kit could make so much noise! Royal Blood, the Brighton born rock duo, Mike Kerr (bass+vocals) and Ben Thatcher (drums) are easily one of the hottest bands of the moment.

Their track 'Little Monster' getting air play on Radio1 by their number 1 fan Fearne Cotton, performing on BBC2's 'Later...with Jools Holland', and with Arctic Monkeys Drummer, Matt Helders wearing one of their t-shirts at Galstonbury last year, they are racking up quite a following!

I saw them perform last month at the NME awards at Brixton Academy along side Circa Waves, Temples and Interpol and the crowd were in awe, hanging on to every line, solo and hook.

Their new single 'Come On Over' has their signature mix of dynamics, energetic drums, snarling bass, engaging lyrics and a whole lot of sound. Their new video for it can be watched below.

You can see them playing at The Great Escape in their hometown Brighton on the 9th May, and at Finsbury Park, supporting The Arctic Monkeys on the 23rd & 24th May, as well as various other dates across the UK and Europe.
